Celia R. Clark, Esq., J.D., LL.M.
Celia R. Clark is Of Counsel at Clark & Gentry, PLLC, concentrating her practice in the areas of trusts & estates, estate planning, estate administration and probate, asset protection, and taxation of trusts, estates, limited liability companies, S corporations and partnerships. Estate planning techniques offered by Ms. Clark include generation-skipping gifts and trusts, life insurance trusts, revocable living trusts, Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts, Grantor Retained Income Trusts, spousal limited access trusts, and international estate planning. Ms. Clark has a background in corporate law, having been a senior associate at a major Manhattan law firm prior to teaching as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, about tax and business law issues of special relevance to closely held businesses. Ms. Clark graduated from the Law School of the University of Chicago (J.D. 1979) and the New York University School of Law (LL.M. (Taxation) 1988).

Edgar C. Gentry, Jr. is a partner in Clark & Gentry, PLLC practicing in the areas of real estate and litigation. He represents individuals and businesses in leasing, sales and purchases, mortgages, and other commercial and residential real estate transactions. He also handles litigations in the state and federal trial and appellate courts of the State of New York, including the Surrogate’s (probate) courts in the City of New York and upstate counties. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gentry practiced in Manhattan in the real estate departments of Rosenman & Colin and White & Case. He was general counsel to a major real estate developer from 1989 to 1992 and was of counsel to Smith, Buss & Jacobs, LLP until 2009. Mr. Gentry received his B.A. with honors from the University of Virginia and is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School (class of 1979). As an Adjunct Professor of Law at Pace University in 1983, he taught “Real Estate Transactions”. Mr. Gentry is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of New York, in the federal courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of the State of New York, and in the United States Tax Court. Mr. Gentry has represented clients in many multi-million-dollar real estate transactions, including large corporate and retail leases in Manhattan and Westchester County; tax-free exchanges; sales and purchases of upscale residential and commercial cooperative units and condominiums; and part-gift, part-sale transactions. Mr. Gentry has published articles and given seminars on home purchases and commercial real estate transactions. The New York Law Journal has written articles about decisions in a number of his court cases.
